SRO’s A Candlelight Christmas Features Talent, Tradition, and Romance

The subscription music series known as “Standing Room Only” may have officially wrapped up after seven seasons, but the SRO team at the Wakefield UU Church is pleased to announce the continuation of its signature concert, A Candlelight Christmas, this year taking place on Sunday, December 18 at 7pm. Always a sellout, now is the best time to grab seats by going to www.ticketpeak.com/sro.

Featuring a professional string orchestra accompanying singers and performing holiday favorites, A Candlelight Christmas showcases the talents of three show biz couples. Soprano Rachele Schmiege and Tenor Stefan Barner perform individually across the U.S. and internationally, and they're terrific together - in concert and in married life. SRO subscribers will recognize Rachele from last year’s Christmas concert, and Stefan as the newest member of The New England Tenors.

Leigh Barrett and Peter Miller met when cast together in I Do, I Do – and, well, they did, they did. They have raised two terrific boys in their happy 25 years of marriage, after touring worldwide with their acapella group, ‘Where’s the Band?’ Leigh is one of Boston’s most celebrated musical theatre stars. acheter viagra

Could there be deep affection underneath the years of barely tolerating each other?

A Candlelight Christmas is produced and promoted by Peter Stickel; the hall is designed, constructed and managed by Elizabeth and Matthew Lowry; and the Front of the House is administered by Joe Cresta. According to Stickel, “The variety and depth of talent in this year’s concert is our best yet. I can’t wait to see the smiling faces in the audience!”
