The multi-day event was a spectacle of live music, shopping, food vendors, contests, and competitions centered around motorcycles. However, the air quality alerts blanketed the area on Thursday and Friday, raising concerns about the health risks associated with the festival. Despite this, the haze lifted by Saturday, clearing the way for the rally's biggest crowds. The event attracted riders from across the country and spectators from throughout Michigan, with the Bike Time arm wrestling competition, bikini contest, and dad Bod contest, and Rebel Road's tattoo contest and Miss Rebel Road competition. For many attendees, Bike Time and Rebel Road are annual traditions, with some coming to honor the memory of a loved one. The festival has hosted notable acts including Mini Kiss, 38 Special, Night Ranger, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, but for many riders, the draw was bigger than the concerts and competitions. It was the sense of community, where riders from all over the country come together to share a common passion for motorcycles. The hazardous air quality is a result of wildfire smoke, which has created surreal scenes across Michigan.
